미국 옷 브랜드중 상당히 큰회사인 J Crew란 회사에서 일본을 돕자는 취지에서 티셔츠를 만들어서 팔려고 합니다. 문제는 이 티셔츠에 나온 지명표시인데요
'Sea of East' 대신 'Sea of Japan'이라고 성인 및 아동용 티셔츠에 표기가 되어팔려나가려 하고 있습니다.
만약 이 티셔츠가 팔려나가게 된다면 상당한 문제가 일어나겠죠. 여러나라 사람들이 살아가는 미국에서 미래를 이끌 아이들이 이런식으로 알아버린다면 정말로 큰 문제입니다.

Your "Women's Japan Love tee and Children's Japan Love tea"," item 52460 and 52511 , incorrectly labels the East Sea as the "Sea of Japan."  This name originates from the period of Japanese imperialism and the brutal Japanese occupation of Korea from 1905-1945.  It is part and parcel of the legacy of this time, which includes genocide, atrocities, slave labor, and the exploitation of tens of thousands of Korean and Chinese women as sex-slaves - the "comfort women" - by the Japanese.  The United Nations has recognized that this body of water should be referred to as the "East Sea/Sea of Japan."  Please change the name on this tee shirt to a less offensive and inaccurate name.  Pending this change, we will be joining a boycott of all j.crew products.  The attached link contains information pertaining to this issue.
